Anyone seen this:

High-speed Internet services will reach rural areas
People as far afield as the Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland will
soon be able to benefit from high-speed, always-on Internet access,
according to reports. BT is set to launch a satellite service that will
make
it possible for people in rural areas to have constant and fast access to
the Web.
BT will start offering its satellite Web service to more remote areas from
September onwards, at a cost of £100 a month. Customers will need satellite
dishes to use the service and it's thought that planning rules may need to
be altered if the service is to reach everyone

If B.T. run a service, I suppose at least there's a chance that it wont go
under after a few months.... (but it will obviously be over-priced though!)
