I mate get beaten to the reply here,,,but basically RADSL increases=20
the distance from the local exchange...

I may be wrong,,,but i think it adds 2km to the distance, and if the=20
signal begins to drop, it drops the speed automatically so you don't=20
get disruption to service...

only thing i can see is that the speed may drop down to near isdn=20
levels, but at least it's in the right direction.

Main problem as Mark pointed out though, is IF BT will install it.
I have heard via the grapevine that the current adsl rollout finishes=20
in sepetember, and if you have not got it,,,you aren't going to get=20
it for the forseeable future.

Basically, BT have to justify the massive outlay and balance this=20
against future returns,,,and at the last count they were =A330 billion=20
in debt, whereas they prefer sub =A310billion.

I sympathaise as I run my own business, but I just wish the=20
government would invest and then the whole UK could use=20
broadband....I fear we are getting left behind by the rest of Europe=20
and definately the USA
