Clothes are significantly cheaper in the
US.
Mainly due to the markups the UK distributors add. For example we're
currently selling "parallel import" tops from Ralph Lauren, Hilfiger and
Gant
that usually retail at £80 for £29.95.

these?
The problem is that if you get stung by customs and if
you
go with insured carriage, then there is often very little left for the
middle man. The attraction with the ePODs, the DDARs and these Audreys
is
that they are items that you just can't buy over here, so the price is
less
important. However if you were looking at bargain prices on stuff that
can
be bought here, then there is often not enough difference to cover all
the
costs and of course there are potential problems with warranties,
voltages
and so on. There is one exception I noticed over there, jeans! I just
walked in to a normal high street shop there and saw Levi jeans
(including
501's) all for $29. Yesterday in a shop in Milton Keynes there was a big
notice in the window saying all Levis down to £39! This would be a
potential for some serious importing even with the costs taken
out.
