I told my friend about Mark's suggestion of a program that can do
timed recordings of internet radio.
When he realised that you could get Rush Linbaugh (controversial US
chat show host) on the internet he got excited and is looking at MP3
players, but will probably need to get 'always on' internet
connection!

As usual in his area he cannot get NTL cable modem and is not sure about
ADSL.
So other plan may be to record radio connected to sound card which
has been suggested by a few people.
