I cut some vereboard
Mounted a transistor holder and a 4 tag punchdown strip
I then mount these in each phone extension socket pushing the DS 1820
through a hole grilled in the side
and use the spare wiring from the phone
All my extensions are connected to an exchange
Works a treat and you can't see them
You must make sure that they are never hit by direct sunlight though
Otherwise you get some very strange readings
Mike

How are you connecting the DS18020s onto the cable ???
when we made a wiring loom here we just soldered them across a pair in a
cat
5
cable, a bit messy, anyone done it better.
I was thinking of a small box with a DS1820 mounted in it with an RJ45
socket or
two (for daisychaining)
Nick.
