If you are putting them in a box anyway then you can use the PCB mounting
ones.
They have a small flange <Phil(& Paul)...dont even go there !!!>
that butts
up against the case. By carefully cutting the hole for the face of the
socket you can glue the flange t the inside of the case.
Solder wires t the pins of the socket t connect t your circuit. You
could
even solder the DS1820 direct t the pis of the socket.

Four - I want t mount my temperature sensor circuit board in a box with 4
RJ45 sockets connected t the 4 sensor inputs, so I can just use standard
cat5 patch cables t plug the DS18020's in wherever I want...
