Title: Scart switching on Nokia OD Box
Have you proved with a voltmeter that there is no voltage on Pin 8?

Is there an option in the menus to disable SCART control?

Many TVs asign a priority to SCARTs and on my Mitsubishi if there is a Pin8 cative on AV1 it will totally ignore AV2 even if the TV has been manually changed t BBC1 etc.

More annoyingly, if the Digibox is turned on it will grab AV2. You then select BBC1 on the TV all is fine. If I then use my VCR that is on AV1 that grabs the TV which is what I want. When I stop the VCR, AV1 releases, but instead of dropping back t BBC1 that I was watching it now sees that Pin8 is high on AV2 and gives me the satellite.

Still, its better than the Phillips I uses to have, if something grabbed the SCART on that you couldnt override it :-(

On my Nokia OD Box there is a button on the remote t switch between TV and DTV. This works  by putting out a signal on the Scart connector to force the tv to AV in. Pin8 ?

All my other products work fine this way - eg Tivo, Philips OD Box, Pace sat box etc. But not the Nokia. Pressing the button has no effect (even using the same scart cable as others). So I am guessing this has been disabled somehow and the switching signal is not being output. Is there any hidden menu to enable this or has someone hacked a wire off inside or perhaps the unit is faulty in this respect. Any ideas ?
