Silent Gliss is excellent quality but I feel it is still overpriced for
what
it is. I needed 10 tracks and motors, and some are over 3m long. The
final
cost would have been over £7,000 just t open/close the curtains!!!!
I'd sooner get something cheaper and put what I save t wards a Plasma and
other gadgets.

Grace Brown Interiors, Cheshire still had stock recently - 30+ motors and
good stock of track.

Yeah, I felt it was a bit of a bodge too. I was very disappointed when I
got the 2 Swish kits and realised that I didn't want to use them. The
Add-a-Motor seems t be the most popular motor in the US - I got mine from
Worthington Distribution.
But asking for something t be 100% reliable in home automation??? What
about X10 then? he he

I spoke t their technical dept recently. They are aware that there's a
demand for cheaper automated curtain tracks and are in the process of
making
a product similar t the 5100 range (v.good) but at a price more like the
5050 range. The guy als said that they sell alot of 5100s and in the UK -
mainly going into homes where the owners don't care how much they cost!!!
When I mentioned that I'd have to spend over £7,000 he said "that's
nothing"
(ehh???????) more like Silent Piss.
