Adam,

Sorry to be a thicko but can you just clarify this:

1. You dial into a PC (with a standard modem) on your network from your
phone
2. You run IIS, and have added some mime types
3. You select (eg) http://my.com/wap/wappage.wml and
it displays the
content.

Sorry but this is new for me and I'm not sure about it... It've checked
out for site and
like what you've done, but just want to understand it all...

Thanks

A.

I don't run a WAP gateway locally, I dial into my network from the WAP
phone, and it picks up the gateway from the Internet via the cable modem
at
home (in effect, it means I'm operating in the same way as an ISP, it
means
I can also connect to my network, and hence the Internet via a PPC and the
Nokia phone by calling into my "Fax/PC line" at home - Saves
mucking about
with different ISPs).

The only "WAP specific" stuff I've had to do is configure the
MINE types
on
the copy of IIS I run at home (and write the WAP pages obviously).

Some of my WAP stuff is accessible via http://wap.zz9.dyndns.org/ if you
want a look BTW (although there's not much there for "public"
access!).

Adam.
