Thanks everyone

, I think I am heading in the right direction now. My set up looks like it
would be similar in function to Mikes, except I am using AW10's instead of
AD10'a, and I haven't put in the option to switch from manual to auto
control, but I guess this is okay cos I am leaving in the 3 clocks which in
conjunction with the three AW10's sitting next to them, will give me manual
control if I want. I remember the architect spec'd for one single
electronic timer to control all 3 zones, but I reckoned the three
mechanical timers would be easier to automate. I plan to have comfort
control these as well as HV, so hopefully all going well I should have a
pretty good automated heating system.

I'm thinking of putting in some thermostats to HV to control each zone
later, so if anyone has any ideas on this it would be appreciated. My only
fear at this stage would be somewhat the opposite to what Mark was
complaining about. Dodgy X-10 signals turning my heating on, or not turning
it off, leaving me with big fuel bills. Hopefully it will be reliable
enough though, or I may be able to put some sort of protection in by using
a timer to limit the On time of the boiler.

Anyone automated an immersion heater yet ?

Regards,
Eamon

I'm not sure how to wire into my existing 3-channel digital timer clock.
My
spark isn't interested in doing it either :-(

Good idea. I will definately want Comfort to have control via the phone
menus. Just been on holiday and it would have been great to have been able
phone the house on the way back and have the heating on for us arriving
home.

Keith "the man" Doxey will sort it for you!
