OK so I chose the wrong one of the "standards" :-(

But it confirms what I said about soooo many of them ;-)

The reverse actually, Keith - the cable I bought looped back DTR, DSR
& CD at each end. The cable I made crossed over DTR->DSR,CD.
I think this is the first time I've ever come across a requirement
for "real" DSR-DTR control...
