Quikie though not asthetic, is to wrap aluminium foil around th cables
(such that it overlaps
itself) and tuck the ends into the cable connectors, such that only the
ground part is connected.
Since Al foil has an anodised coat, you may need to sand the ends for a
good contact.
But or the best in quality, you can't do any better than properly shielded
cables.

Guys

I have a setup where I run the AV cables from the cabinet to the tv under
the floor (see here www.garethcook.com, then go to House
Redecoration-Lounge, first picture)

Problem is - when connected to my LD player or routed from my PC upstairs,
if I play back an NTSC picture, it flickers from black and white to colour
a few times each second, with the picture flickering diagonally). If I
play a PAL picture it's all fine. A PAL60 (from the PC) is fine - but
hitting PAL on the LD player does nothing, except show in black and white
(but LD's were never that good at switching standards...)

Now, I have 2 of these svideo cables - both from Lektropacks, I thought
they were shielded.....if I run the other one externally (ie plugged into
the player, and dangled outside) then if works fine for NTSC. SO I would
assume I am getting interference.

Anyone suggest a course of action for reducing interference with the
speaker, SCART and UHF cables going parallel with them ? No power leads
there (they all are run at 90 degree angles), and the length of these
cables is 5 metres...

Thanks

G.
