Ok... thiz bit was RE: ADSL... but  the questions are:

1. Have BT changed their default to NAT
2. When did he start subscribing to BT
3. When did you?

i.e. Did you do it first, did you get a choice of NAT / NON-NAT,
was the default when you subscribed NON-NAT

Is seriously sounds like all ports are blocked and if he's not running a
firewall then maybe he's been NATted..
