Re: Home Video Server - Some observations
Yeah...not bad at all. Sound isn't great but at this file size it's quite
impressive. I captured 23 mins of Top Gear last week using ShowShifter and
it's MJPEG soft codec. The file was over 1 Gig!

I've just taken a look at the file an have the following comments
1. The quality is definately good enough for me, however
2. There appear to be no fast moving sequences so thare's no way
of telling if it would be any good for something like an action movie.
3. It's probably the most boring episode of Battlestar Gallactica
there was ;-)
4. How do we get it out to a TV screen....and will the quality
suffer...
Just some initial thoughts, I am impressed with the quality vs file size
45 mins per 230MB isn't bad
