Re: Slightly OT: home cinema

Tim, do you have a copy of Blade in your DVD collection?

In the opening credits, when N'Bushe Wright's name is displayed, and the
streets are flying past in the car, does the red come through nice and
sharp, or is it blurred across the screen?

This has become my quality check for displays recently (my trusty 336NS
goodmans Tv does very well on this, whereas my mate's 33" Tosh is
terrible
for bleed),

also, try the early scene in MiB where Edgar's truck gets it. (I watch for
a
really smooth flight, rather than a sequence of "jaggies"
movements)

Whereas my audio perception is feeble through tinitus, I can't handle
visual
defects even a little bit. It's why I am such a pain in the ass about DivX
encoding.. :)

Ian.
