If anyone fancies building their own look at the CS89712 from
www.cirrus.com. An ARM7 + 10BaseT with integrated MAC and PHY.

Add magnetics, DAC, external flash, display and the job is nearly done.
The ARM can decode MP3 in software and ARM provide a library (licensing
terms unknown)   Enough MP3 stack to handle FTP is no big deal.

Alernatively someone is making one using a Dallas Tini and an external
MP3 decoder.  Anyone got the EPod doing MP3 decode?  It's got the
power, the ethernet and the display!
