I've just taken a look on the newsgroups at news.grc.com and there are a
couple of discussions regarding this.. apparently a workaround is to
ensure that you set the affinity for the 3 ZAP images to be the same (i.e.
make sure that the images are using the same processor.)

Finally something I can give a fairly knowledgeable answer on :-)

Andy,

See:

or

http://grc.com/lt/scoreboard.htm

Zone Alarm Pro doesn't support dual processors. Got the same problem
myself...

Yep. I originally used it with no real trouble on an old Win98 PC but
windows 2000 (at least mine) doesn't like it... Do you reckon that it
could
be anything to do with the fact that its a dual processor machine???

My problem was fairly specific in that the Win2K machine worked ok on it's
owen but if I tried to use another client PC to connect the Win2k machine
locked up completely requiring a hard reset to escape... similar to
Keith's
problem it only happened after I had dialed out and established a
connection
with my ISP.

As I'm looking to go 24/7 via a cable modem I'm really concerned about the
security aspects. I wanted/needed a more powerful machine for my
webserver/mailserver but ZAP seems to be causing more grief. Don't get me
wrong I think that ZAP is great (or I wouldn't have brought it)...

i was thinking about getting something like BlackICE defender... anyone
got
any experience of this (good or bad)??

Ta...
