So far I've only been electrocuted by the mains cable from an IBM
Thinkpad. The person I'd borrowed it from used it with the cable from
the brick to the pad wound round the brick - I hadn't noticed that this
caused it to burn through the cable in a few places. When the beep-boop
sounded telling me that it had switched to battery power I put my hand
behind the pad to ensure the connector was still attached. I believe the
pad decided it didn't like this and decided to zap me.

The silly part was my colleague who after asking what happened, placed
his own hand behind it, got a shock and said 'Oh yeah'. Well it was
around 0430 on a Monday morning, after being on site from early the
previous day.
