Has anyone seen the OSCAR dedicated MP3 player in this months
(September) Elektor Electronics?

It can play CD-Rs with MP3 file on or load then onto an optional
internal H/D. It can also play Audio CDs. Unfortunately it can't read
standard CDs and compress them into MP3 files in the internal H/D. It
has an RS232 connection for interfacing to a PC.

Their web site seems out of date, perhaps when the part 2 article is
produced it will be updated.

The OSCAR is available complete or in kit form from: BayCom
http://www.baycom.de

Hope this is of interest.

Regards,

Chris Williams
