Yep, it has a wire screen as well as what looks like a tin foil screen. A
local Tandy shop was selling it for a tenner so I bought it. I had heard
from the US that it was better than standard coax. When I checked its
ratings on Maplins site and Lets automate etc. to get a comparison it fared
badly. I have no problem using it as aerial wire as I have to usesomething
and when I do the sensors I have planned.

Since I am retro fitting everything I am considering running everything
(cat5 and coax) down the outside of the house using some form of trunking
e.g. drainpipe. This fits in really well with the house design and makes
the
job a whole lot easier. Since the runs are quite long I think I may use the
CT125 stuff. A little expensive but anything for an easy life.

Thought RG6 was quad screened ?
Been  looking for some for AGES, What IS the best stuff to use then ?
