I imagine the flaw in your plan is the assumption that internal temperature
is predominantly affected by external factors. The presence of cookers,
fires, large amounts of computer equipment (I'm sitting in my home office
surrounded by 5 PC's, two printers and a large HiFi) and even people have a
significant effect. For me the question is more one of how to retro-fit a
multi-zone system in my house, there are 11 rooms and three significant
landing/hall areas and I can imagine it being very expensive to install a
zoned system. I frequently have some rooms hot and others cold, but I can't
do much about it other than turn off radiators.

Regards

Graham
