I bought some from ebay auction site  paid £22.50 /box 1000m solid
conductors, but after P+P it was nearer £35/box  If your local to
manchester
you could pick it up from the seller (he runs a business i believe)   if
anyone is interested i could try to find his e-mail and/or phone number.

There used to be one called "grandata"   think that was mostly tv
and video
spares though.....they also did semiconductors and transistors, but nothing
out of the ordinary.
