I have to agree. When I started at Maplin, he fron shop was basically only
a
couple of impulse sales stands, largely with batteries and such like.
catalog stands took up most of the space, and almost all of the goods were
"behind the counter". now the largest majority of the store is
set out as
"browser bars", with a lot less stock through the back.  In which
case, they
want to stock lots more visually appealing junk, and a lot less
components....

Not any more, I'm afraid. the old PS00 (Paid at Shop, deliver to home) now
costs £2.50, same as the delivery from the website.....
