Nigel,

Spoke to my mate at Laing.

The person you need to talk to for more info is Gail Corbett, PR and
Marketing Manager.

She is on 01908 209092, and is expecting your call ;-)

Regards,

Mark

There's only one snag, it's the same problem I have, where I can easily
access Comfort remotely and open my back gate so parcels can be left in the
yard, but if they need a signature, they won't leave the parcels till they
can get one, which is presumably what the bearbox subscription arranges
with the courier...

I'd considered a small printer, printing till-roll sized sticky labels with
'goods deposited automatically, not inspected' and a scanned signature, but
it's a fair bit of work to go to if they still wouldn't accept it, and
there's still the potential for the parcel to not be left, but they still
have a signature to imply it has been...

I'd be interested on other folks thoughts on possible solutions.

At present, it is very unusual for me to get more than one delivery in one
day, but I could see with more 'net shopping that could change.

It's a bit like the Laing thing on Mark's site (see, I do read the news
page sometimes!), I tried to contact them for more details but none of the
addresses worked. I'd particularly be interested in what aspect of it they
are claiming to have patented, having designed (but not constructed)
something remarkably similar for a School Technology project more than 10
years ago (automating from an early age!). I'm not sure if Technology
project reports are suitable 'prior art', if indeed the NI Examining Board
would even have archived it...

Nigel
