Just to share my thoughts. I purchased a
Kingavon
black and white camera to try and record footage at night without lights.
The
resolution was terrible, the picture clarity poor and the built in led's
caused reflections to infinity.... but if you looked very closely at the
edges
of the reflections you could see something. I intended to buy a micromark
which B&Q now stock at the same price of £29.98. today but went to
Homebase just for a look.
I ended up paying £39.99 for a black and white
camera. The extra £10 is probably the best £10 I have spent in ages. The
clarity at night is excellent, no reflections, is must better build quality
and the supplied cables are more extensive.
I will highly recommend this unit and the PIR
activated one which is £20 more, only £10 more when comparing the coloured
cameras.
My next purchase will be either another black
and
white or maybe a coloured one.... watch this space.
It's amazing how enthusiastic the wife now is
for
cctv. Sorry ! I shouldn't make light of it :-)
Well time to go and watch tv through the
night.
I must add before I go.... The microphones on
all
the cameras have been excellent, so much so we tested it while walking AWAY
from the camera my neighbour counted at normal conversation level, he could
be
heard well in excess of 20m from the camera....
