Thanks for the info - I'll go & register today methinks!

I think I will prefer to use HomeSeer Phone (and the upcoming black box) to
do all my phone stuff instead of Comfort, as it will be a lot easier and a
lot more flexible. - I'll still leave comfort on the line for alarm
dial-outs, doorbell dialouts and the like, but I'll put all the
answering/voicemail/IVR stuff in HSP.

This will do SO much more than comfort is likely to be able to do:

recognise DTMF tones & save them into variables
Fully scriptable (VBS or PERL) Interactive Voice response system
Phonebook of known callers
customised responses for different callers
unlimited mailbox voicemail system
Use TTS for voice prompts, so unlimited vocabulary (unlike Comfort!)
Voice recognition over the phone for HA control
etc... etc...  etc...


Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking Comfort - Now that mine is stable I
love it!, but it's never going to be a good a telephone manager as a
dedicated system...
