I believe the CLID set up is as follows:

"BT" CLID is sent before the first ring.

"US" CLID (Used by some cable companies in the UK) is sent
between the
first and second rings.

Modems always report the CLID between the first and second RING
messages to retain compatibility with the software mostly written for
the US standard.

I have a PACE 56k external CLID modem that reports it between the
first and second RING. If anyone does now a way of changing this I
would be interested to know as well.
