someone should make some cases for these things, like the leather ones you
can get for your cellphones.
I know the case on my handheld PC has protected it on several occasions.

Wood laminates - but it was not dropped from a great height. The trick is
when it is falling don't try to stop it. You could try to grab it in mid
air
and flick it against the wall !!
