There are other much more elaborate methods of preventing a iButton being
defeated, you can use on with EPROM in the can and write your own extra
code, which is used for the next unlock when you programme a new code. This
means that unless someone gets hold of your iButton, produces a hardware
copy and gets back to the door before you, his key will be out of date. His
copy would have to very smart because the door would not unlock if it could
not write back the next code. I would think that people with the knowledge
to construct the devise are gainfully employed anyway.
