Alternatively

Are you wanting to
1) keep these contacts connected up to the existing burglar alarm
2) use them only for X-10 control?
3) Replace the burglar alarm with something more Home Automationish?

It wasn't really clear from your original email. The first one is probably
the bodgiest, and may not work depending on your existing burglar alarm
system and the X-10 interfaces available. The second would need the
PowerFlash or something similar, the third might point you to Comfort, or
one of the other X-10 capable security systems.

The reason the first might not work is that some systems use different
voltage or current detection methods to detect the sensor and/or give
tamperproofing, and connecting an X-10 module up to it might confuse either
the security system or the X-10 module, or it might work...

BTW Mark, I had a quick look at the Ido Bartana page, one thing springs to
mind. Is the mini controller isolated from the mains by a transformer? If
not, it's a bit of a hazardous mod... less so in the USA, but still dodgy.
