Newcastle is one of the first ADSL deployment areas... but maybe you mean
pseudo-northerners (Blackburn- Hah!), rather than real-northeners? I guess
Newcastle is close enough to Scotland to benefit from the high technology
there (asbestos suit on, ducking and running)
