A hybrid low tech solution to consider: we've now got one of the new
breed of BT DECT phones that supports caller id. If the phone recognises
a caller's number it displays their name - withheld numbers are
displayed differently. If you don't want to take the call then you press
the red button (I think) which silences the ringer. After 5 rings
Comfort takes the appropriate action with the answerphone. If it's a
genuine call we can hear the message being left on the answerphone, and
take the call - invariably though it's someone trying to sell use
cheaper electricity...
