Here is an extract from a newsletter re: The new CD Players which play
MP3's. Also, if you are looking for a good program to locate MP3's
www.napster.com makes the search and download effortless. The idea is that
rather than search ftp servers for access, this program connects you
directly with people on the web where you are sharing with each other's MP3
collections. The search is lightning fast and you can filter the search by
connection speed so that the for eg: results can be just to computers with
ISDN or Cable T1 -T3 connections. I've had some transfers at 7.5kb/s,
others
range from 2k - 5kbs.

Another program which is great for creating MP3's from your record
collection is Real Jukebox. http://www.real.com/rjcentral/index.html
 The
great thing is it converts directly to MP3 WITHOUT conversion to wav first
and it can do it at 5 x speed. Also links with CD Online Database to insert
all the track names into the player automatically naming the tracks onto
your hard drive as they are recorded!

1) Concerning the availability of the MamboX P300, the latest news from
Tagram are that samples will be shipped this week, first shipment shall be
made around before the end of March.
At this point, we can only apologize for the delays caused by Tagram. We
await the MamboX more than anyone else as you do not make any money from
running a website with products for purchase that are not available. You
might want to let Tagram know of your opinion about the delays. Please feel
free to do so.

2) Referring to Tagram, the MamboX P300 will also support CDs in
ABCD-Writing-Format (Packet-Writing). We will check on that with the
samples
.

3) PINE have announced, they were going to release their SM-200C late
april.
The price has dropped to about 300 Euros.
