Using repeaters..

Hi,
I just had a thought regarding X10 repeaters, I can't think of any reason
that it may not work so if you can think of anything please let me know.
I was thinking that if for some reason you had multiple phases you could
use X10 repeaters to 'jump' accross and pass the signals.. is that logical
or have I go it all wrong... I.E. does a repeater send it as RF?
