I had a similar experience with my two local Homebases (are there always =
two only 500 yards apart?  I wonder what the collective name for more =
than one Homebase is? A "Shoal", a "Gaggle", a
"Flange"? - I digress).

I went into the first Homebase and as you say, the kit was near the =
burglar alarms.  They only had one appliance module left which wasn't a =
lot of good for the Buy 1 get 1 Free offer.  When I asked if I could =
just have the one for =A315, the kiddy behind the counter looked at me =
like a rabbit in headlights.  I went to the next Homebase down the road =
(the posters were by the burglar alarms but a second poster said go to =
the power tools stand!)  They only had one left as well!  Any way, the =
assistant in this one did actually "assist" me by taking my money
at the =
discount price and ordering four modules for me.  He said if I paid up =
front, then I'd get them at the discount instead of potentially paying =
full price when they finally arrived.

I think I've done ok, but I'm sure they'll manage to cock something up!

Great Yarmouth Homebase has 2 less Appliance Modules after I called in =
on=20
the way home tonight, and the wallet is ?30 lighter.

I couldnt find them at first, they arent actually out on the shelves, =
just=20
a poster on the wall near all the burglar alarms. I was looking in the=20
section with the electrical accessories and timeswitches which is where =
I=20
though they would be....WRONG!!

At first the assistant didnt know if they had any but said he could =
order=20
them at the offer price. Luckily they had several.

He also told me that the Homebase website is due to be relaunched with =
full=20
online ordering very soon.

I don't think so, - after I initially saw the offer in my usual branch,=20
(and
failed to get any), the next day I hunted out the next nearest branch =
(only=20
5 mins further away!), went there, found some, still with the offer
advertised, and bought 4 (paid ?60). That was on Saturday morning....
