There are two problems with that idea, as you probably know:
1) MP3 is inferior quality to CD, so anyone with a CD is unlikely to want
to _buy_ an MP3 file to match it- they can still make their own, even if
they can't rip the digital direct from the CD.
2) You can't buy MP3's in any great range at the moment, though I guess
they will start to supply ones to match the 'protected' CDs if/when they
arrive...

So instead steal copies of the music by copying it from friends... aint'
humanity great- a world of spineless cheats ;-)
