Hi to all in the group,

I've been lurking in the group for several weeks now, as well as visiting
numerous HA web sites. I'm ready to take the plunge and invest in some kit,
but I will do it in stages as funds are limited. I would like to have as
part of the system, an intruder alarm that can interface with other devices
via X10, and the SK8000 security system from Laser Business systems seems
to
be a low cost way of starting off, and then adding sensors to later on. At
£105 it seems very good value considering it incorporates X10 signalling
for
lights, autodial and remote control.

The question is: is this kit too good to be true for the price ? Is it
reliable, having wireless sensors ? Does anyone on the group own one of
these SK8000 kits - if so, what do they think of them ?

I'm sure most people will say I should buy a comfort alarm system, but what
with all the extras needed to perform the same task, the cost will be 6 to
7
times that of the SK8000. Maybe it would be worth it, but i'll never be
able
to justify it to my wife !!!!!

Look forward to your comments/advise

Ian Tickle.
