X-10 automation for a candle...

The solution is half-way complete. Specifically, I can use X-10 to turn
_off_ a candle by the simple expedient of having a strategically positioned
hair-drier plugged into an appliance module.

Have you checked it still works since the Y2K date change?

We have a candle lighting the stairway quite often - the missus reckons
you can't beat the quality of proper candle power. X10 automation for a
candle would be quite a challenge...

Ray.

p.s. most of my 'failure' contingencies are based around the risk of
software failure rather than hardware - Kate insists on a manual method
of control for when she tires of being an unwilling alpha tester ;-)
