X10 Thermometer?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knew of an X10 thermometer - something like you
send a status request and it sends back the temperature. I've looked at the
TX15B on www.letsautomate.com but I only want the temperature function -
and
264 gbp is a lot of money! I'm debating weather or not to get HomeVision
and
attaching sensors but I don't really like the idea of the wires running all
over the house (that's what x10 avoids), plus I'm not sure how long the
distance could be between the HomeVision and the sensor could be...

Any ideas?
