It means that it only samples the duration where a valid X10 signal will be
(just after the zero crossing)
Means that any noise furthur on in the ac cycle will not mess with the agc
tolerances. Normal AGC would be messed up by all the noise present in the
peak of the AC wave and reduce its sensitivity.
