AGC is Automatic Gain Control.  Windowed AGC is a marketing term :-)

In this case, windowed probably means limited, by max and min gain and/or
by rate of change of gain, to try to cope with changes in signal level.  It
could equally be called "properly designed AGC" if that's the
case, but
then again, I'll never make a good marketeer...

It just means that it will process the signal (presumably the X-10) a bit
before it goes to the digital bits, to try to make it more reliable.  If it
really is an improvement, it should help on unpredictable mains networks,
or maybe with several controllers at different ranges etc etc.

I'll be surprised if the processing involves more than 5 electronic
components... but that doesn't mean it's not useful.
