It gets worse than this; the contention ratio of 20:1 is for the IPStream S
series product line:
S500 = 500k/250k; (download/upload)
S1000 = 1mb/250k
S2000 = 2mb/250k
but the IPStream 500 product has a contention ratio of 50:1; do the maths
on
that...
