I know this topic has been aired numerous times in the past, but I just
found this article on the Microsoft Knowledgebase which I thought might be
of interest to anybody still trying to get this to work...

http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q182/7/99.asp

This URL also contains a downloadable code sample to demonstrate selecting
between different sound cards in VB.

The article number is: Q182799 - Mmmctrl.exe Demonstrates Using Multiple
Sound Cards.

Regards.

Paul G.
