CallerID and modems
A friend is trying to get call waiting setup on his line so that his
caller id box shows the number of the person calling. Apparently it
works fine except when his modem is dialled out. Presumably a modem
doesn't leave much bandwith free for caller id information.
Does anyone know a way around this problem, or a more suitable forum to
ask? Don't answer with 2 lines via Home Highway because apparently he's
500m too far from the exchange, and he's not too happy about it...
