Nigel,

The modifications I pointed you at the other day mention ENABLING Manual
ON/OFF with a pushbutton. It looks like you replace the jumper that it
tells
you to remove for Local control with a pushbutton. I imagine that it would
then act line the pushbutton on an X10 switch.

I havent tried the pushbutton mod but its easy enough to try whilst you
have
the thing in bits. I also seem to remember someone saying they had done
similar to a lamp module and put the guts of the module in the base of a
table lamp with the pushbutton mounted on the body of the lamp.

If you try it let us know how you get on ;-))

I presume you mean 20W ;-)

There is probably a spec somewhere that gives the minimum current for local
control. I have 2 25W lamps plugged in, and need to operate both at once
for the module to switch on locally (ie by pulling the plug for the 4-way
extension they are plugged into, then pushing it back again).

It doesn't seem to be of much use, as most things I would want to switch
would probably be under 50W (small lamps and portable stereos). I guess I
may as well just modify the modules to remove the local control.

Thanks all for the suggestions,

Nigel
