After the comments yesterday, I tried my appliance module, and it doesn't
seem to have local control.  With a 40W lamp plugged in, operating the
lamp's switch when the module is off doesn't turn it on- maybe I'm missing
some subtlety in its operation...

I guess it'll just have to visit the workshop this weekend <evil
cackle> ;-)
