Absolutely brilliant!  Just when I think I've seen every HA idea and
gizmo, somebody comes up with something like this.

What I really like is the simplicity and effectiveness, using only a
handful of cheap components, and apart from somebody forgetting to
"plug
in" it's pretty much foolproof.  It's a good design philosophy, worth
following for all projects.

I can already think of several ways to extend and expand the idea - it's
definitely one worth copying for all sorts of applications.
