I see that these LAing homes have sold out anyway (all 4 of them !!).See
below from www.08004homes.com :

Houses with high IQs sell out
Britain's first "intelligent houses" are set to make life much
easier for
their new owners.
Among the "intelligent" options available for buyers of Laing
Homes' three
storey Victorian-style houses located between Clapham and Wandsworth
Commons
are a phone home facility that turns on the central heating and draws the
curtains by dialing into the controls via a mobile phone on your way home.

Lighting systems can be set to create 'paths of light' throughout the house
if you are coming home late and don't want to wake up other members of the
household. Lights come on at a low level leading up the stairs to the
bedroom. All lights can then be switched off by the bedside.

Sean Ellis of Laing Homes says: "All these features may in the future
be
standard, but it's exciting to be at the forefront of such new
technology."

Sophisticated security systems include a recording of occupancy patterns,
once the alarm is set, automatically reproduces the lighting times for a
seven day period. Purchasers can also make use of a system that telephones
them on their mobile phone when visitors call at their house when they are
not in. They can then talk to the callers.

Theses four south London homes were sold within two weeks of being released
at the end of October. Prices started from ?825,000 and all purchasers have
bought some intelligent options that could add up to ?40,000 to the
purchase
price.
