I went from a 32" WEGA to the 37" LCD (smaller brother of the
50" you
mention?). My excuse was that the 37" whilst being larger was
actually
slimmer. It's not the world's best picture - but you get used to the
honeycomb effect on bright whites and yellows. It's also been 100%
reliable, unlike the 2 WEGAs I had. I simply could not pull a projector
stunt off (but I'll be working on it for when we move).
