Actually, just thinking about the time it would take to FTP these things
via
a modem then maybe the only practical method would be to build up
compilations on CDRs and pass them round ...

Maybe it's just not practical until bradband access is more widespread?

Nothing concrete but just a suggestion ... I have access to an FTP server
through work. Depending on the number of interested parties then perhaps we
could use that directly or alternatively FTP files to that server, I could
cut them to CD and then snail mail the CD on to the next person in the list
... kinda pass the parcel?
